What 25 teachers are taking away from the Slovak SO[U]LCAMP

What people say about SO[U]LCAMP?

“The SO[U]L Slovakia summer camp was one of a kind. Its location with Poland and the Czech Republic just around the corner, truly made it a unique experience.Professional teacher trainers who worked with us provided useful tools, guidance, advice, but also, plenty of fun and laughter. We left with our minds full of brilliant ideas and our hearts full of new friends.”
Dragana Stegic, Bosnia

We loved the fieldwork, it’s so much different from what we experienced in other classes. Also, it gave us the chance to spend time with teachers from other countries that face similar problems and challenges as we do. Sharing ideas and knowledge was a very inspiring thing to do, especially since we could relate to each other’s situations well. We made some really good friends here.
Tip for next year: more bryndza! Otherwise, keep up the good work.

The camp in Čadca was amazing. I think we all had a really good time and fun while doing various activities: workshops, presentations, group activities, FIELD WORK, reading mails from Mark Andrews who, unfortunately, could not come but still we were in touch with him.
I enjoyed evening activities, watching films, having contests, getting together, socialising, and sharing ideas with others.
One of the most interesting activities was doing our FIELD WORK – we visited the neighbouring towns and tried to get some information by interviewing local people. Then we prepared our presentations and some of them really unusual but great (foodology).
Anyway, it was new to me, but it was inspiring and fun and I want to come back again this summer, 2014.
